  • Need to answer, “How does it make money?” and “Why can’t somebody else do the same thing or enter the market?”
  • Answer what benefits does the user get out of it
  • What is the credibility of the team, who is the team
  • Who is going to benefit; how is it going to make money
  • Focus on differentiation- how to have an advantage over competition
  • Need an elevator pitch (here is what it is (segment to small market) do not get too technical
  • How will it scale (after going into next segment- larger customer base)
  • Remember the VC does not have much of an attention span- define the problem within the first 60 seconds
  • Answer if the idea can be protected
  • Keep building teams and doing market research
