  6. When will classes be held and in what format?

This year, the ongoing COVID-19 crisis has delayed the arrival in the U.S. of most incoming international students.  Also, social distancing requirements have severely limited the number of students who can occupy classrooms on campus.   Therefore, all BCC instruction will be offered entirely online via Zoom.

Teaching online will allow all student to participate in all sessions, and it will provide a consistent and seamless format for all sessions, including lectures, case discussion, presentations, teamwork, and practicing job search skills.  Also, sessions on Zoom can be recorded for students to review.  The BCC program faculty are experienced online instructors, and they will evaluate their progress through a variety of activities and assignments.

Since many incoming international students will be joining the BCC program from countries on the other side of the globe, we will do out best to accommodate students by having morning and evening sessions of the BCC when possible.  After the program enrollments have solidified in mid-July, we will send participants more specific information about timing of sessions.  In the meantime, participants should reserve times from 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM Eastern Time on the dates the program will be in session, August 10 – 14 and  17 – 21.  We promise we won’t use all of that time on any given day.  However, many students do say that when school starts in earnest, 14 hour + days are not uncommon.

  1. Can I attend the BCC and the Summer Math Review Course?

If you are required to complete the BCC, do not plan to enroll in the Summer Math Review program. The two programs meet at the same time. If you have questions about your readiness for the academic year regarding math skills, please contact

  2. What do I need to do on the first day of the program?

You will receive all of the information you need via email prior to the start of the program at 8:00 AM Eastern Time on August 10.

  3. What will the daily schedule look like?

The daily schedule of the BCC consists of classes and tutorial sessions from 8:00 AM until 12 noon Eastern Time.  Depending on where (what time zone) participants are joining from, additional required sessions will be held either from 1:30 PM to 5 PM in the afternoon Eastern Time, or from 7 PM to 10:30 PM in the evening Eastern Time.  Since many of the sessions will require individual or team preparation, and since teams will need to include students from different time zones, participants should be ready to put in some long days.

We will test your skills and discuss your goals with you, and then we will put together a course of study that fits your needs and goals. All participants will be required to participate in oral presentations, negotiation simulations, team debates, case studies, and job search skill development activities.  Also, team projects will require especially long hours.

  4. Will I have an email account?

Yes, we will assist you in setting up an email account.
