In the online client application, you’ll be asked to provide details about your proposed project. This is your opportunity to help us understand the context and significance of the project for your organization. What specific challenges, opportunities, or conditions are driving the need for this work? Why is this initiative timely or critical to your strategic or operational goals?
We ask for this information because it forms the foundation for project scoping—a key part of the FCCP project experience. In fact, one of the first assignments students complete is defining the project scope, which is also an essential learning objective of the course.
To help you think through what a potential project might look like, we’ve included examples of project scopes adapted from MBA teams.
- Business Model Development and Go To Market Strategy for EV Manufacturing Company
- Customer and Market Analysis for Auto Parts Distributor
- Go To Market Strategy for an Educational Consulting Firm
- Market Expansion for a CPG Company
- Marketing Strategy for Digital Consulting Firm
- Process Improvement for a CRO
- Sustainability and Environmental Strategy for an NGO
MMS project scopes are typically more defined with a focus on specific deliverables or research questions that align with the student skill set. Below are a few examples adapted from past project scopes to give you a sense of the type and scale of work that fits well with the MMS program:
- Brand Positioning for a Technology Provider
- Competitive Analysis for a Sports Management Company
- Customer Segmentation for a Food & Beverage Brand
- Market Entry Strategy for a Manufacturing Client
- Technology Assessment for a Digital Services Provider
