Work Scope Examples

In the online client application, you’ll be asked to provide details about your proposed project. This is your opportunity to help us understand the context and significance of the project for your organization. What specific challenges, opportunities, or conditions are driving the need for this work? Why is this initiative timely or critical to your strategic or operational goals?

We ask for this information because it forms the foundation for project scoping—a key part of the FCCP project experience. In fact, one of the first assignments students complete is defining the project scope, which is also an essential learning objective of the course.

To help you think through what a potential project might look like, we’ve included examples of project scopes adapted from MBA teams.

MMS project scopes are typically more defined with a focus on specific deliverables or research questions that align with the student skill set. Below are a few examples adapted from past project scopes to give you a sense of the type and scale of work that fits well with the MMS program:
