The Fuqua School of Business offers a program for international students who are non-native speakers of English. The Program in Business, Communication, and Culture (BCC), which is also known informally as “the International Student Bootcamp,” not only prepares international students to succeed in The Duke MMS and MQM programs, it offers support and guidance throughout the time that students study at Duke. With an emphasis on business case study, teamwork, and class participation, students take part in a comprehensive program of cold call lectures, case presentations to demanding audiences, job search skill development, advocacy and persuasion exercises, and a variety of assignments that prepare them for the rigors of graduate school in the U.S. Tutors and faculty in the program are available to support students at every stage of their Fuqua experience.
Please refer to your admission letter to verify if you are “required” to attend “the Program in Business, Communication, and Culture (BCC).” If attending the program is a requirement, you must complete the program by attending in person as a condition of your admission to the Duke MMS or MQM program. Please submit a non-refundable $250 enrollment deposit by the date listed in your student portal.
